Lead and manage software quality assurance testing efforts for complex IT software replacements.
Ensure that all testing activities adhere to defined testing standards.
Read and analyze system documentation, including functional, non-functional, and technical requirements/specifications.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand system requirements, design, and the impact of system modifications.
Define test strategy, goals, and objectives as part of the test planning process.
Utilize expert knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies to develop a testing approach based on system documentation and requirements.
Determine the work breakdown structure (WBS) for all required testing activities.
Identify testing resource needs and assign test activities based on skill level, availability, and capacity.
Prioritize test cases and schedule testing activities.
Create test cases and test data for both manual and automated testing.
Design reusable automated test scripts.
Execute test cases, report defects, and define severity and priority for each defect.
Conduct regression testing and manage the defect management process.
Design testing scenarios for usability testing and user acceptance testing.
Facilitate usability testing with business stakeholders, analyze findings, and report results to the Development team.
Interact with project stakeholders at all levels as required.
Oversee all testing activities carried out by the team.
Ensure continuous test process improvement using defined test metrics.
Develop and maintain a test traceability matrix.
Prepare status reports of testing activities and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
